The first meeting of the Inventors & Entrepreneur Club for Monroe County is Monday, Feb. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Western Technical College-Tomah Campus. The monthly meetings are free and open to the public. Speakers for the first meeting include Jim Wiesender of Sand Creek Brewery of Black River Falls, ones of the fastest growing micro-breweries in the state. Lunch 'N Learn Series, Wednesday, Feb. 20, noon to 1:15 p.m., Western Technical College-Tomah Campus. David Mertens of the Wisconsin Department of Commerce will talk about economic development programs, business plan development and other assistance available from the Department. Cost is $10 (includes lunch). Register by Feb. 18. See the second attachment for more info. Berry Amish will be closed Feb. 22 & Feb. 23 and Feb. 29 & March 1. The Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center is holding its next Make, Bake and Take class on Saturday, March 8. This time we'll be making cranberry muffins. The morning session is already filled. Only a few openings remain in the afternoon session, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. If there's enough interest, the class will be repeated Saturday, March 15. WABA meeting, Monday, March 17, 6 p.m., Three Bears Lodge. NOTE: At the February meeting it was decided we would try moving the meeting date to the third Monday of the month as the first Tuesday conflicts with other meetings and elections. We also talked about having some meetings at 7:30 a.m. again. Please pass the word! Three Bears Lodge & Convention Center is hosting the Tomah Chamber Business After 5 on Wednesday, March 19.
